I have an idea....and it has to do with pyrex!

I have some nice idea, right now on above my kitchen cabinets are my collection of vintage pitchers. For some reason I am attracted to their graphics and some of the shapes..but I have to admit I am a little bored of it right now.

So I was searching this new site called FlickRiver and searched Pyrex Displays and some neat things popped up....

Does anyone have this display in their kitchen like this?

I was telling my friend last night on the phone that I wanted to do this and she said "The Pyrex is invading!!" Haha, that was very funny! It sure is =) and I do not mind it!

I will take before and after pictures, I will start on this now and see what happens!...
I still have some Pyrex ads that I am wanting to frame, so maybe this weekend I will frame some and display them with the Pyrex! New idea!

Stay tuned...

  1. I have recently started to display some of my Pyrex on top of my kitchen cabinets. This became the next logical spot because I ran out of space in my dining room glass-doored cupboard. They look pretty but I need to rethink what I put up there, because they aren't as accessible when I want to use one of them.
I also need a way to display my Daisy casseroles so I can see their beautiful lids. Any suggestions on this?

    1. Yes, it is a great spot for Pyrex! I must admit it makes room for more =)
The Pyrex that I put on my cabinets are the ones that I do not use or they are duplicates. Maybe put ones up there that you are just displaying for the time being until you rotate your pyrex for holidays or seasons! Thats what I am going to do.

Your yellow daisy? LUCKY, I do not have that pattern yet and I am dying to buy some they are soo nice.

I do have an idea actually....you can get a plate stand and put the lid on it and display it next to the yellow casserole.
Or possibly find a plate stand that will hold the lid but fit in the casserole so that it shows it together. I would try Michaels or AC MOORE or even Joann fabrics.

      Hope this helps!

    2. Also I want to add, for the second idea I gave you...if you find a plate stand (holder) to fit in the casserole dish and holds the lid, in order for the lid not to hit the casserole you might want to put something under the plate holder for it to stand up taller, just wanted to add that..

    3. Great idea about a plate stand - it reminded me that I picked-up a little metal easel in a garage sale - I'm going to give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
