My AWESOME Pyrex find

Here it is! I have been talking about this for 2 weeks now! It finally arrived today at 3pm.
It came from Oregon, and was wondering where it was! I was almost freaking out, because this is a rare piece, plus I got it for an extremely good price!

I found it on eBay, it was an online auction and I said what the heck let me bid on it, I know what it goes for and I was in a bit of a bidding war, there was a few people who wanted it but I put my max bid kinda high...so they gave up, (yay for me) =) and I won it!

I am now the PROUD owner of this Pyrex "Moon deco" casserole!!!
It is in perfect condition, looks like no has used it ever!
The only thing is, it is missing the black under plate to it...I will try my best to find it.

Here it is........

And I only paid $43 bucks with shipping!

This is worth $100!

PYREX drought!

I am not sure what is going on, but there is a BIG Pyrex drought going on here.

I went to my usual thrifts yesterday and came home with NO PYREX!
Not sure if people are just not donating or maybe because it is the winter time, not sure but it sucks!

Now, I am buying Pyrex on eBay.
Tomorrow I am going to a flea market in NJ. This flea market is open all year round!
I hope I find some Pyrex, if not on the way home I will stop off in an antique center in NJ and see what I can find!
This is where I found my 4 piece Butterprint set for $40! Not too bad.

Let's see what Sunday brings!

Is anyone else having a Pyrex drought or is it just me?

My Pyrex Christmas List

Well, my mom and my husband asked me what do I want for Christmas?

All I want is Pyrex, and of course anything else that is vintage, but Pyrex is on the top of my list this year!

Here is my wish list!

On the TOP of my list is the Starburst Pyrex in Turquoise and black!!! I WANT THIS SO BAD!

Next would be the 4 Qt. green "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" mixing bowl!
I have yet not seen this in person, not even in the antique center's!

Third would be the Charcoal Pyrex Snowflake space saver! LOVE IT.

I need the Butterprint casserole dishes, I do not have them!
I only have the Cinderella mixing bowls and the regular mixing bowls, I have the complete set of the refrigerator dishes and the butter dish.
All I need is the casserole dishes and then that set is complete!

I also would love the turquoise balloon chip and dip set!

I would love to get the "Pyrex Prize Recipe Book"

and anything else Pyrex but those are what I reallly want badly! =)

Do you want Pyrex for Christmas this year? and if so which one would you want santa to bring to you?? =)

Christmas decorating in progress

With this hectic weekend of going thrift shopping, going to an estate sale, cleaning my house and doing errands I did not have a whole lot of time for Christmas decorations but I did take down my fall decorations (finally) and put my grandmother's vintage Christmas wreath on the front door.
I also put the multi-colored lights on the railings outside with red bows.
I am not finished entirely! I still have to get two more extra lawn decorations tomorrow and put them up on Tuesday.

Outside is almost done! I did decorate my Pyrex cabinet with some vintage Christmas things...
and added some festive stuff around the house.

Here are some pictures of what I could take, I will take some more when everything is done!
I did not even get my Christmas tree yet, next Tuesday is when we will be getting it! Can't wait!

                                                 TO BE CONTINUED.....

My Christmas finds

I found some Christmas stuff at Savers and also in the antique store on the corner from me, (lucky me) but her prices are somewhat high, she does have some Pyrex but she is retail for her stuff...BUT she was having a 20 % off sale on everything in the store so I dropped in.

I bought a few things..

I found this cute little snowman (left) at her store for $1.00
He  is actually a candle!

I found this buried under all of her other Christmas stuff.
My first Beistle!
This one is from 1979 and NEVER OPENED!
I had to open it though...I want to enjoy it!
I promise I will be careful with him =)

He was $2.00

Isn't he cute?

She had TONS of vintage Christmas ornaments but they were $20 and up!
So I found this one from a Woolworth's it was only $8!

My weekend finds

Okay here are my weekend finds...again not a lot of Pyerx =(
But I did however find some other neat things.

I found this beauty vanity dresser set at GW and fell in love with it.
It is so unique looking. It came with 2 trays and a covered dish.
No markings on the bottom but really does seem to be old.
I got the middle piece for $3.00
and the 2 trays for $2.00

I am loving this vintage seat!
First off, it is red and I LOVE red!
The vinyl on it is in perfect condition.
It sits beautifully in my living room.
It was $12 at the GW.

This is a Car Snac Sportsman set.
I believe it is from the mid to late 40's. Bought this for my husband at the estate sale down the street from me yesterday. Looks to be never used.
Very unique and very valuable.
I snatched the large Ice bucket and the carrying set for $20!
I thought that was a steal!
My husband loves it =)

Found this little beauty at Savers and bought it for $1.99!
It is "Amberina" canister.

I also got this at Savers and it was $2.99
J& B Scotch whiskey...not sure how old this is.

This painting intrigued me. It seemed to be crochet or some sort of fabric that someone had done years ago.
The detailing on it is beautiful.
I got it for $3.95
Now I will have to find a nice place for it to hang!

Pyrex baking dish.
Not sure of the name of this or if it might be a promotional item.
Any ideas?

This is a cute canister! It is yellow daisy's!

It is made by corning.
$1.99

I really loved the shape of this item. It is by NASCO pottery.
Do not know much on this yet...
$3.95

I love music and I had to have this little guy!
This is by Anchor Hocking. I got it for $1.00 at GW

This plate I bought because I love fruit! and it was at a good price of $1.99!

This plate is a fruit decor of figs. It is in very good condition. I have never heard of this company before but I am not 100% sure but I believe this is from the 30's or 40's.
if so SCORE!
I bought it for $2.99

Bought this lid without the bottom, nowhere to be found! =(
Did not know where this was a set from but got some info:

It is from the "golden classic" casserole.

Thanks Christina!

Got it for $1.99

Got this "Friendship" lid also without the bottom at GW for $2.99

Got this casserole Fire King "Peach lustre" dish with lid at savers for $3.99

I bought this from an estate sale down the block from me.
I bought it for $10.
It is in EXCELLENT condition, the only flaw is a chip in the inner side of the lid. No biggie for me.
