Estate sale right down the block from me!

Total score for me! There is an huge estate sale literally right down the block from me!

This has NEVER happened before.....so Friday I have such a long day of thrifting!

First I am going to go to the Estate sale at 10am... usually I head out at 8 am to get to my thrifts at 9 am when they open.

then I will head to the Goodwill Outlet in CT, never have gone there before and am curious what I will find! Heard they have REALLY good buys!

Then I will go to my other thrifts in CT 3 in one part and 2 in another!



looooooooong day for me! But I am really excited!

Liz and Dick movie?

My Review:

I would not even call it a movie! It was HORRIBLE...I knew that Lindsay would not portray Elizabeth like she should, Lindsay is not capable of it, she really has no talent!

With all the wonderful, talented actresses they have out there, they could have found someone to portray her with respect and dignity!

I only turned it on because I thought maybe I could be wrong? I was right.

I felt like she was on speed and she was just reading the script without emotion or care.

I turned it off halfway and was disgusted. Elizabeth had such talent, she was one of my favorite actresses...although I do not favor her 8 husbands and marrying non-stop but that isn't my business she got bored very quickly it seemed.

Has anyone seen this disaster of a TV movie?

If so what are your reviews?

Vintage Christmas Decorations found!

I found some vintage Christmas decorations in my grandmother's attic about 1 year ago, I never took pictures of them...Not sure if they were my grandmother's or her tenant that lived in my apartment for about 30 years!

I will be using them this Christmas. This Christmas will be the first time I am using  VINTAGE Christmas decorations. I was never really a big fan of Christmas till I fell in love with the vintage decorations!

Can't wait to start decorating!

My broken Pyrex holder for the "Golden Grapes" Promo

I expressed in a previous post how upset I was when I came home to show my husband what a great find that I found in a thrift...it was a "Golden Grapes" promo by Pyrex with the original holder! I have never found a holder till that time and I was so excited. As I was unwrapping it, I noticed one handle had broken off...so sad =(

Black Friday thrifting!

I usually NEVER go out on Black Friday! I don't know if anyone else does?
But for me, I would rather relax and stay home....since now I am into thrifting, I am going to take a risk of going to the thrift shops tomorrow! Yes, I am going out on black Friday!

Has anyone ever gone to thrift shops on Black Friday?? If so, are they really busy or are they just quiet because everyone is at Best Buy or some of the other retailers looking for a good deal?


I thought it was a great idea of going thrifting tomorrow only because I figured no one would be there!



Has anyone had any experiences..if so what? I would like to be prepared!!
