My husband and I were on a conversation yesterday about our childhood memories and what type of foods we grew up on and then it finally hit him, he kept forgetting to mention to me this one favorite dish of his, a dessert dish his step father made on every fourth of July. He didn't remember the recipe but remembered bits and pieces of it. Well we did a search on the internet and found it! We found it HERE: Her blog is "Because of Madalane". Great blog!  Anyway, We ran straight to the grocery store and got everything we needed. and it was delicious!
